<sigh>

This could very well be.  Most Hamm systems that I have installed have
been upgrades from Bo and the one system that was a bare install has
wu-ftpd which is my standard FTP selection.

>From my recollection, I do not recall having to set up FTP for download
but I did recall having to configure it for upload but that would have
been before Buzz. My main system has been an upgrade-in-place since before
Debian went ELF and has also had wu-ftpd on it for a while now.
